Vintage Designer signed jewelry better than the stock macket

So, if anyone has any money stashed away in the stock market , you might consider throwing that stock market report out the door.
These days , you never know how much money will buy anymore.
Gas prices are going to soar, so, what else is new...after all, Spring is here , so , higher gas prices this time of year is the norm.
Vintage costume jewelry prices have soared.
I can remember the day , when I would go to the Greencastle Pa antique mall and pass a particular booth that was so full of costume jewelry it made your eyes hurt.
That booth has been sold out for years. The seller's jewelry was not the high end costume jewelry , but , it was costume jewelry , sold cheap. And , after sitting idle for many years , it was sold out in no time when the costume jewelry boom started.
I do not see it slowing down either.
I do think , that some of the new designer signed jewelry will keep their prices , even after used, because some of it is very well made.
So, if you want to enjoy a little show, watch my latest video from The Vintage  Costume Jewelry Vintage Fashion Connection video series.
Even if you do not collect costume jewelry, you just might enjoy the video.

Antique Pickers antique doll room box a treasure

Through the years I have been very fortunate to know many antique dealers.
Before the show , Pickers , was created , and before the Internet , antique dealers were actually pickers for their customers.
This blog is dedicated to a wise antique dealer that knew I collected antique toys.
He was very knowledgeable of fine antiques , not the usual.
His booth was filled with the most amazing luxury antiques such as sterling, gold, porcelain , antique pocket watches , and Tiffany.
Mike loved to sell. He knew I shopped the mall where his booth was located.
So, being a wise antique dealer, he had a little section in his booth with fabulous antique toys.
One day , he walked into the mall around the same time I did .  His face lit up with a huge smile as soon as he saw me . He looked at me as though he was Santa Claus with a toy so great , it had to be mine.
He said, " come on back to my booth , what I have in this box , will be shown to you before anyone ".
Now, that makes one feel really special , and of course , Mike the wise salesman that he was , knew I loved feeling special.
It was the room box in the photos. The room box was empty and through the years, I added pieces to it , to enjoy like a kid with a favorite toy.
These are seldom seen these days...the original room boxes are a joy to own.
Someday I will need to part with this wonderful item, and when I do, it will be listed in my Ruby Lane shop , because it is too special to my heart to sell at a local auction.
Sometimes, items such as this room box is treasured at first for the wonderful item it is.
As time goes on, the memory of the person that sold it to you
is more precious that the item itself.
Long live the memories of the old time antique dealers and cheers to wonderful shows such as " Pickers " to keep the wonderful world of antiques and collectibles alive

Youtube video madness networking secret have fun while marketing

Youtube is a tool that is fast approaching the status of more than just a crazy antics funny video site.
Many people are posting videos that gives visual instructions on how to do things or fix things.
Some are regular people and some are people representing a company such as home improvement companies.
It's much easier watching how to fix something, then read the instructions manual. My mind strays when I read instructions manuals .
But watching the instructions on a video , easy to learn and not boring , it's terrific.
I have realized I can create videos that show the items I have in my shop and/or collections.
And I can tell people about the items , a show and tell approach.
I love that concept.
I will admit , when creating my videos , I feel like a kid again playing anchor woman on the news shows.
Although creating the type videos I create take time and thought , from the writing of the script , to the back round layout and then the slide show photos, and then add music , it is time not only well spent , but enjoyed.
I now have a video channel that displays all my videos , and I am asking people to please subscribe.
After all, if I think my videos are good, I think you will enjoy them, not be bored.
As time goes on, I will improve on my video work and editing.
Which , by the way , I use Cyberlink's Power Director 9 , it is an excellent video editor. I am offering that as a tip , I am not being paid to mention them.
I plan on making more videos for home decor, fashions, jewelry , and , well, you never know what I might come up with next.
So , join the video craze and subscribe to my video channel.
In fact, start learning how to create videos yourself too.
The mind is a creative machine , flip the switch and be amazed at what you can do.
After all, if I can do it, you can too
